Chapter 14 There's no need for you to interfere

Nancy's hand holding the bowl stiffened, and she forced herself to feed a spoonful, looking at Eric's composed and straight gaze, feeling flustered.

She wanted to treat him as a kindergarten kid, but in the face of such a big and good-looking man, Nancy knew she couldn't do it.

After feeding him for about seven or eight bites, she could no longer hold on and said awkwardly in a low voice, "Take it yourself. I'll go and get you the medicine."

"Didn't you say you wanted to feed me? !" Eric asked calmly, his dark eyes full of provocation.

Taking a deep breath, Nancy tried to retort, but the phone that suddenly sang loudly interrupted her.

"I'm calling," she pushed the bowl to Eric with a sigh of relief. Nancy deliberately didn't look at him, touched the phone and walked out of the door, not looking at who was calling, and said directly, "Hello."

"It seems you miss me so much that you picked up the phone before it rang three times." Jason's mischievous tone turned Nancy pale. "If I had known it was yours, I wouldn't have answered it even if I had dropped my phone."

With a casual "snort", Jason added, "I'm at your hospital entrance, come out."

"I'm at work and not available." Nancy's disgust was not concealed, and her tone was very impatient.

Just as she spoke, she subconsciously moved out of the door.

Hearing a low voice of "You're shameless" from outside, Eric glanced in the direction Nancy had walked away and pushed all his food to the ground.

The sound of the clanging and clanging startled Nancy, who poked her head in and frowned immediately.

Jason on the phone was still mocking, "I don't know who was more shameless, May asked me for five million for my lost youth for you, Nancy, how dare you say it wasn't your order? !"

"You..." Nancy was stunned as she gasped.

Five million...

How could May have the nerve to claim the money in her name? !

"You? !" Jason snorted, "Nancy, are you gilded or diamond-encrusted? ! Even if it was plated, I haven't touched it. Besides, you're not worth the price."

"I'll ask about it, and you're not so stupid as to refuse. !" A sharp counter-question, Nancy wouldn't give him a chance to answer, and hung up the phone angrily.

After staring at Eric in silence for a full minute, Nancy walked up to him calmly and said, "I have something to deal with after I get off work at half past five. Before that, please cooperate with my work."

Eric raised his eyes to look at her, his gaze cold and his tone even colder. "Do you think you can get off work on time?" !"

His words stunned her for a moment, and she asked awkwardly, "What? Do you have something?" !"

With a cold laugh, Eric lifted the blanket and roughly tore off the bandages on his body. The wounds stuck to the bandages were torn apart, and crimson blood gushed out.

Nancy was completely stunned. "Are you crazy? !"

She lunged to cover her, but Eric held her flapping PAWS with just one hand. "Before you get off work, I want to see these wounds heal and get better, not continue to recover slowly."

"It's impossible," Nancy shook her head, her lively eyes full of fluster. "You let go and I'll bandage your wound."

Her face turned pale, but Eric glared at her coldly as if he didn't feel any pain, and then pushed her away forcefully.

With a stumble, Nancy fell to the ground, and Eric was still removing the bandages with a dark face.

Somehow the courage came from somewhere, Nancy felt a rage churning in her heart, got up and rushed over, slapping him in the face with a "slap".

With a bit of force, the hand that was hanging by her side was shaking unsteadily, and there was a faint handprint on Eric's dark and firm face.

It seemed that there was a hint of smug smile on the corner of his mouth, but Nancy ignored it and shouted angrily, "This is your body, but you have no right to hurt it. It's already such a serious injury, how can you add some more yourself?"

She couldn't understand and didn't want to understand, but was trembling with a bit of anxiety.

"Up..." Sam, who was nowhere to be seen, suddenly entered the door, and before he could fully say "Colonel", he saw the two men facing each other in silence, with a palm print on Eric's face.

"What's going on? !" With a dark face in front, Sam pointed at Eric's face and stared coldly at Nancy. "Did you do this? ! Dr. Nancy? !"

Silent glances, Nancy swears, she hears Sam grinding his teeth in anger...

In the cold ward, Nancy's face was pale, Sam's was ashen, and only Eric had a faint sneer.

You deliberately provoked me, didn't you? !" Nancy finally came to her senses.

With a cold laugh, Eric stared at her for a full second before saying, "You want to wrong me?" !"

Nancy had expected that he wouldn't admit it, but still trembled with anger. "You heard everything when I was on the phone just now, right? You saw that I was very angry, so you deliberately provoked me just to make me call you."

'Where's the evidence? !" Three light words left Nancy speechless.

Indeed, all she could say was her own guess.

Sam, with a dark face beside her, clearly wanted to complain about her.

Shaking her head, Nancy held back her anger. "I have no evidence. I simply thought you heard me on the phone, so you deliberately threw all the food on the ground, and when I came in, you continued to provoke me and deliberately tore off the bandages on you."

"Dr. Nancy, you don't make sense," Eric's eyes were straight and cold. "It's normal for a seriously injured patient to be in great pain and not want to eat, and it's normal for me to hate having these things wrapped around me."

'You...' Unable to find a reason to refute, Nancy froze, thought for a moment and suddenly understood his mind, "Do you hate you for being like this and think you are incompetent? !"

Suddenly being told the main point, Eric's eyes sank straight down. "Is that what you're supposed to say as a doctor? !"

"Sorry," Nancy's heart gave a jolt at the fleeting pain in his eyes. "I was really down, so I couldn't understand you, and I was a bit anxious when I saw you unbandage yourself and couldn't stop it, so I lost control."

"I don't want to hear you explain." In a fit of rage, Eric lifted the blanket and threw it to the ground.

Seeing that he was agitated and more blood was flowing from the wound, Nancy exclaimed, not daring to delay any longer, and rushed to fetch clean gauze to re-bandage him.

"I don't need it," Eric pushed away Nancy's hand that was about to touch him, and his face turned ashen. "I can handle this minor injury by myself. There's no need for you to bother..."
