Blake stared at Rory’s back, watching her walk away.

It was clear that she didn't find that out yet and he wasn't sure how much time he had remaining before she finally did.

She was the only person in a long time that didn't annoy him with their constant talking.

She was kind, helpful and always smiling around people. Her smiles weren't fake, though. She just seemed to be genuinely happy around people.

She was his fated mate.

But she's going to hate him.

After saying goodbye to Blake, Rory went home immediately.

On entering the house, she found Sylvia and Sophie, who was Sylvia's mother accompanying her father, Ken, and laughing and talking in the living room. The family of three looked particularly harmonious.
