Layla's POV

My wolf was like SCREAMING MATE IN MY HEAD and I was stunned. I was happy I smelled my mate but I knew something bad would happen.

"Hello? Earth to LAYLA!" shouted Alex while snaping her fingers infront of my face. "Huh? Oh sorry Alex." I said uncertainly. "Why did you just zone out like that Riles?" asked Alex with a suspicious look on her face.

"I-I uhh-" RING! "Oh come on Alex the bell just went lets go. "I said quickly. I guess you lot could say I was saved by the bell!

We walked to our homeroom and sat at the back as usual. Me and Alex have all our classes together. So you can consider us LUCKEH!

When I went to my class, the scent grew weak and I was relieved yet a tad sad.

"That's because he's our mate" said my wolf in a duh voice. "No shit sherlock."I replied sarcastically. She rolled her eyes and went to the back of my mind.

I listen to our homeroom teacher, Mr Blake, welcoming us back as sophomores and after that I just looked out the window and could've sworn I saw a pair of green eyes watching me.

I shrugged it of. After homeroom I went to the girls bathroom to do my biz which I'm not telling you about. The bell rang and I was like "Great now I'll be late for class." I just rolled my eyes and headed to my locker. Half way there I smelt the scent again. I picked up my paste then I felt a pair of hands grabbed my wrists and slammed me against the lockers. I felt a lot of sparks and shocks and a shiver went down my spine and it didn't fool me that it was my mate.

I looked up and saw my mate. I gasp when I saw who my mate was.

But when I looked in his green eyes. I saw disgust and anger. "Listen up here bitch cause I'm gonna say this once." he said with a cold voice. "You are not my mate. I mean come on! I'm the future alpha and the bad boy while your just a nerd and whore."

I just gazed at him quietly and just shrugged it off. "I, Daniel Anderson, reject you, Layla Falls, as my mate." he said to me after he slammed me against the lockers and held my hands above my head. He just stood there with a smirk and thought that I would breakdown to tears. Well think again jerkwad!

And did you know what I said to him? I said three words that gave him a shock that he actually loosen his grip on my arms and just stood there with an 'o' shaped mouth.

I said,

"I don't care"

Jerkwad/Daniel's POV

"I don't care"

I stood there shocked. She didn't care?! She must be lying but when I looked into her eyes it was true. She really didn't care.

"YOU DICKHEAD!" screamed my wolf James. "Why did you reject her?!" he asked furiously. "Its because she's not Luna material. She's a nerd pup! Get the picture??!" I replied coldly.

I was shocked and stood there with my mouth in an 'o' shape. She got out of my grasp and just looked at me awkwardly and said, "I, Layla Falls, accept your rejection." she said without any feeling. After a few minutes of silence, she said, "Well see you around." And with that walked away to the front entrance of the school and out the door. JUST LIKE THAT!

I saw her walked through the door without looking back. My wolf was whimpering. I was wondering if she really meant what she said. That she didn't care.

Suddenly I had an idea that my wolf wasn't into. He kept telling me not to do it but I just blocked him out. I mind linked my beta and best friend, Aaron. "Aaron I want you to do something for me."

"What do you want high and mighty Alpha?" he asked me. I chuckled when he said that. "I want you to spy on Layla Falls. She went out of the school and she may have went into the woods. Got it?"

"Sure at least I'll be able to get out of class. By the way, may I ask why do you care about this girl?" he asked me suspiciously.

I growled and told him, "Just do it!" He replied, "All right I'll go."

"Make sure she doesn't see you"

"You got it."

And with that I went to find the school slut, Jessica. Luckily, I saw her coming out of the girl's bathroom and walked to her with werewolf speed and whispered in her ear, "How about you and I do a quickie in the janitor's closet?" in a seductive voice.

She giggled and we went in the closet and had it rough. "Now we'll see if you really don't care bitch." I thought evily while smirking.

Layla's POV

After the encounter with my rejected mate. I went outside to the woods and went behind a tree and shifted in to my auburn wolf. My right ear had a little bit of black and my tail had a white color at the end of my tail.

I love my wolf very much. I ran for a few minutes and after a while I just walked slowly and came upon a pond. I drank the water and put my head on my paws and sighed.

"Why did he reject us?" whimpered my wolf. "Who knows. Just forget about him. Who cares what he thinks?? We don't need him." I said to her to try and calm her down.

"But we do need him." After that she just lay down and whimpered quietly. Suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my chest but I just shrugged it off. I knew he was "having fun" with some slut. But like I said before, I don’t care.
