Chapter 34 What? Are you allergic too

Rushing downstairs in a hurry, Nancy hailed a taxi, quickly gave out the address, and then straightened her disheveled hair in the rear-view mirror.

She looked like a crazy woman, having had her hair scratched in a fit of rage by her concern earlier.

There were still tears on her face. The driver glanced at her, but then withdrew his gaze, hesitating to speak. Nancy sensed it, but was not in the mood to respond.

Walking quickly towards Room 302, Nancy heard Eric's deep, pained voice, "Go away. I don't need you to show me."

"What's going on? !" Nancy was still wearing the lake blue dress she had when she went back, and there was a doctor standing in the ward, but Eric ignored him coldly.

Looking up at her, Eric's face turned pale, "You're back."

For a moment, Nancy had the illusion that he was waiting for her on purpose.

"Well, back." She responded to him and asked again, "What's wrong?" !"

"Dr. Nancy," the male nurse she had applied for told her with her head down, somewhat awkwardly, "Colonel Eric was allergic to me and a doctor was called, but Colonel Eric refused to examine him. We were worried that it might affect his injury, so we had no choice but to contact you."

'Wait, what did you say? !" Nancy had a look of disbelief, not that she didn't hear clearly, but that she couldn't believe.

Her bright eyes turned back to look at Eric, and then she noticed a red swelling on his neck and chin.

"Cough cough," said the male caregiver with an awkward cough, "he's allergic to me and I don't know what's on me that's causing him to be allergic."

"......" Staring at him speechlessly for a while, Nancy caught a faint scent and asked, "Did you use perfume?" !"

"No," the male nurse shook his head and thought for a moment before saying, "I've been so busy these two days that I took a nap for about ten minutes before coming to take care of Colonel Eric and made a no-rinse first aid mask. I wonder if that has anything to do with it."

Nancy paused for a second and quickly calmed down to deal with the matter.

"I'm really sorry," Nancy first nodded in apology to the doctor who was turned away by Eric, then turned her face to the male caregiver and said, "Bring me one of the emergency masks you used. If not, tell me the brand, name, ingredients and the manufacturer's phone number."

When the two were out, she asked Eric again, "I don't see any allergy history on your medical record. Do you know what you are allergic to? ! Just think about it. In a moment, I'll take you to the allergen test."

The approving gaze went straight to her, and Eric raised his chin to her, not answering, but asked in return, "What? Are you allergic too?" !"

The palm prints on her fair, snowy skin were particularly clear, and it was the second time Eric had seen her with the marks of being beaten.

Licking her lips, Nancy gave a bitter smile, turned her head and whispered, "It's not an allergy."

Seeing that she didn't want to say much, Eric didn't ask, but just said, "It hurts and itches, it's really agonizing."

"So many places are allergic," Nancy looked closely at him and found that not only his neck and chin, but also his arms were swollen and red. "What are you doing? Are you dancing together? !"

A cold gaze was fixed on her, and Eric was speechless.

Smiling at him, Nancy took the opportunity to squeeze out and put on her white coat.

"Dr. Nancy, here's the mask you want." As soon as Nancy stepped into 302, the male caregiver followed.

Taking the mask from his hand and looking at it, Nancy grinned. "All right, you go ahead and do something else. I need to check what ingredients are in this mask and which one is causing Colonel Eric's allergy."

Looking at her apologized, the male nurse was not in a hurry to leave. "Dr. Nancy, I'm really sorry, look at me here... I'm sorry to have caused you trouble."

"It's okay," Nancy added with a smile. "You didn't mean it, and I'm sure Colonel Eric won't blame you."

Seeing that she had made her own decision, Eric's sharp gaze drifted over, and Nancy pretended not to see his displeasure and gave him a sweet smile.

For a moment, he lost his temper, and Eric withdrew his gaze in anger, feeling as if he had punched a cotton pile.

The male caregiver apologized again and again, to Nancy and to Eric.

After he left, Eric said in a muffled voice, "I don't know what I'm allergic to. I can't figure it out."

He hasn't had an allergy for all these years.

Nancy nodded. "OK, I know."

It was this sentence again, and Eric was eager to ask what on earth she knew.

Turning out, Nancy called two more caregivers, carefully asked them what they had been exposed to in the previous half hour and ruled out any potential risks, and then brought them over to help push Eric into the wheelchair for the test.

At the same time, the mask was sent for an ingredient analysis.

When she got both test results, Nancy began to look at them one by one.

"As I thought, this mask is a cosmeceutical mask, and some of the ingredients in it conflict with the medicine given to you these days, but it's okay, as long as you don't touch it again, it will get better in a while." Nancy said, holding the test results.

"Can't solve it right now? !" Nancy said it was okay and Eric himself felt relieved, but the painful and itchy feeling was not so pleasant.

"Yes," Nancy smiled at Eric as he was being carried onto the hospital bed. "It's probably the most stupid way, but it's a little bit effective."

The look turned back, and Eric felt that her smile was sweet.

Nancy made a long walk around the hospital, finally found a compressed mask from a nurse, happily carried the mask paper back to 302, and then went around to the hospital entrance to buy some mineral water.

"What are you doing? !" Eric frowned when he saw Nancy tear open the wrapper of a milk candy, throw it on the cap and pour water over it. "What kind of candy is that and why does it soak up when it gets wet? !"

"It's pretty much like sugar, but it isn't," Nancy smiled and, after washing him with a towel, picked up the thing from the cap and unfolded it, sticking it onto Eric's face. "It's a compressed mask sheet, but it looks pretty much like a milk tablet."

In front of his face, Nancy's bright eyes were clear, without a hint of impurity. Let her even breath, mixed with the scent of a woman, rise in front of his face, and Eric, with his sharp eyes, looks at his own reflection in hers.

"A pale face, it would be terrifying to go out in the middle of the night," Eric's eyes darkened. "Why did you put this on me? !"

"Help relieve your discomfort," Nancy patiently explained. "Actually, cold boiled water should have been used, but it wasn't available, so mineral water was used instead. Theoretically, it's feasible, and you'll have to use this every day during this period."
