Chapter 8 Am I joking with you

A doctor who is obsessed with flowers is really unbearable for patients. "Eric muttered disdainfully.

"......" Take a deep breath to calm down, Nancy pulled out the thermometer to look at herself, and then gave him a sudden knock on the forehead. "See what this is, see clearly, I say you, this man, will die if you don't narcissism."

As soon as she finished speaking, Nancy gave him a quick glance and said in a soft, soft voice, "Sorry."

With a puzzled frown, Eric watched her write something in her notebook in silence, and soon she looked up at the drip bottle and gave him a new one.

'What is she doing? !" Eric asked Ben only when Nancy went out and didn't know what to do.

"You say Dr. Nancy, I don't know, probably went to the restroom," Ben came over with a water cup for Eric, took a sip, and then he said, "I'm not asking what she's doing now, I'm asking why she apologized to me."

"Oh, this one," Ben grinned silently, but there was no smile. "Colonel, you started having a fever last night, Dr. Nancy stayed up all night taking care of you, and we were all scared, afraid that something might happen to you."

With a thoughtful "oh", Eric looked at him again with his dark eyes. "Answer the point."

"She just said 'death'," Ben really laughed this time. "Maybe Dr. Nancy was afraid she might have cursed you by accident."

With a slight curl of his lips, Eric said with a forced smile, "Where are the discharge procedures? Why haven't they been given to me yet?"

"Colonel..." Ben immediately put on a sad face. "You scared me so much last night that my legs went weak. How could you not play such a joke on me? !"

"Am I joking with you? !" Eric raised his eyebrows discontentedly.

"Who gave me a 'mm-hmm' yesterday and started to work well with me as a doctor today and do my patient well? !" Nancy brought in an insulated box and set up a small table. "Whether you're hungry or not, have a couple of bites."

When she opened it and saw a steaming bowl of white porridge, Eric and Ben realized that she had just gone out to buy him something to eat.

"What are you staring at me for?" Nancy felt a bit uncomfortable. "I got a taxi from the hospital cafeteria, I had a meal card, Ben treated me to milk tea and my dad to a late-night snack last night, and I treated him to porridge to make it even."

"None of my business." Eric retracted his eyes.

"All of you," Nancy said without saying much, pointing at the porridge bowl and commanding, "Eat!"

"You woman," Eric gritted his teeth and spat out the second half angrily, "how dare you order me."

"Yeah, you haven't been ordered? !" Looking at him in surprise, Nancy was puzzled. "Even though your title is colonel, it's impossible for you to become a colonel as soon as you enter."

"......" Picking up the spoon speechlessly, Eric's sharp gaze seemed to be digging a hole in her face.

Unexpectedly, Nancy still said fearlessly, "I thought a commanding tone would make you feel like you're going back to the front line and will obediently come."

"......" Taking a silent bite of the porridge, Eric didn't even bother to give her a look of disdain.

Is this woman's brain for fun? !

Coughing awkwardly, Ben suppressed the urge to laugh, "Dr. Nancy, it's not the same."

"Is that so? !" Throwing a serious inquiring look over, Nancy smacked her lips. "Well, then I'll think about what I can do to make him feel like he's in a command-and-command environment, or hang some camouflage stuff here? !"

With a "puff", Eric almost spat out the porridge he had eaten. "Even if you turned this place into a camp, you couldn't make me obey your orders."

"Is that so? !" Nancy gave him a daze look. "Then didn't you eat as commanded? !"

As the movement of eating porridge stiffened, his teeth giggled along, and the lines on Eric's chin became more distinct, showing that he was clenching his teeth.

Seeing this, Ben immediately tried to smooth things over, saying, "Dr. Nancy, you haven't slept all night. Do you want to rest for a while? ! Anyway, the colonel is awake now. I think nothing will happen for the time being."

With a dazed "oh", Nancy rubbed her eyes and yawned, "I should go to sleep for a while, my mind can't react."

"......" Can't react? ! Reacts much faster than when awake!

Eric glared silently at her with an urge to bite her to death.

After Nancy left, Eric pushed the porridge bowl forward halfway through his meal and said, "I don't want to eat anymore."

Ben came forward quickly, tidied up and told Eric, "Dr. Nancy went to buy it for you. We had breakfast in the morning. She probably woke up thinking of you. She was weak and couldn't eat many things, so she bought the porridge."

Eric didn't reply, lay back and close his eyes.

Ben, not knowing if he heard or not, sat aside with a pursed lips.

Having nothing to do in the morning, Nancy slept comfortably until the end of her midday break, and she slept for about four hours.

"Dr. Nancy, someone is looking for you." The little nurse at the nurse station led Carl over and stood at the door knocking.

Nancy had just washed her face and pulled out a few tissues to wipe it. "Dad, why are you here?" !"

"I got up in the morning and didn't see you for a while. I guess you're busy, so I went back first. Look, I just had lunch and brought you some." Carl slightly raised the plastic bag in his hand.

"All right," Nancy looked back and saw that food was not good at the office, so she took Carl to the cafeteria. "The food is good today. There's meat and ham. Well, you even brought me soup."

Nancy spread out the insulated lunch box layer by layer and took a sip of the soup before eating.

"Well, I bought some vegetables this morning and brought them back for May to cook." Carl didn't say much. Nancy glanced at her, knowing that he must have told her stepmother, May, that she had specially paid him to buy the vegetables.

Noticing Nancy looking at him, Carl pointed to the food in front of her and said, "You eat here and I'll go outside and have a cigarette."

As Carl walked out, he coughed one after another, and Nancy frowned.

After lunch, Nancy took Carl to the hospital entrance and turned around to catch a glimpse of a flustered figure dodging away.

I couldn't see clearly, but subconsciously felt that it might be coming at me...
