Two years later.
A slim and pale woman was walking on the street with a ragged plastic bag in her hand.
She was walking slowly as there was some problem in her leg.
Snow was falling.
The young woman lifted her head. Her face was pale and bruised. There were some deep and dark scars on it’s the weather was cold and it was snowing, the frequency of the bus was reduced. It changed from one hour to three-hour bus.
She had bad luck. A bus had just left five minutes before she left the detention center gate.
Luck was still not on her side. A bus had left just five minutes before she left the detention center so now she had to wait for the next three hours there.
Her hands subconsciously touched the thin layer of white shirt that was covering her. She frowned when she touched the scar at the corner of her brow.
It was still spring when she entered the detention center, and she never thought it would be winter when she would get the chance to get out of it. It was cold, she caressed her arms. That's when she heard the loud sound of screeching of wheels. She looked up and saw the bus coming. She rubbed her leg which was in pain and got on the bus.
All she had now was an old, outdated cell phone. Fortunately, the guard at the detention center was kind enough to give her a dozen dollars. She put in the coin and sat down in the back seat in a very disciplined manner.
That bus was the only one that ran from the city center to the prison. So Flora was the only passenger on the bus. The whole time she kept looking outside the window and engrossed in the view.
In two years, the city had changed so much. That time the engine of the vehicle suddenly came to rest. There was a loud sound and the bus stopped.
Her forehead hit the window glass, and it hurt. Flora rubbed it gently and looked up to contemplate the situation. The driver cursed and got off the bus.
Once he saw that it was the Bentley that had been hit, he bit his lower lip in anticipation. "It's tiring and unlucky to pick up and drop these unworthy prisoners every day. It's really unfortunate..."
Meanwhile Flora got off the bus. When the driver saw him, he pushed her and she fell heavily into the snow.
The scene grabbed the attention of people present there. They were looking at her with curiosity and disdain. Her face was pale and her head lowered down. She was embarrassed. Suddenly, a pair of shiny leather shoes appeared in front of her sight.
She froze and looked up at the straight, handmade suit pants, and met with the pair of gray orbs that had appeared in her dream’s countless times. It was none other than Alpha Sebastian.
This time he looked even stronger and more handsome than he was two years ago. At that time, she realized that things might have changed in those two years, but that look in his eyes was still the same. He was still disgusted with her presence.
She stared at him blankly. After a while, she suddenly realized how ugly she looked now. She lowered her head and struggled to get up from the ground. But the moment she tried to stand up, her shoulders were pressed by the black umbrella in his hand.
"Just two years passed. And you already forget everything. Have you lost your sense that you forgot to greet me?" He shouted.
Meanwhile her legs were hurting. The way he was pressing her down with that umbrella, she felt like someone was poking needles in her knees. Even though the weather was cold, still beads of sweat covered her forehead. After gathering all her strength, she said in a shaky voice,
"Al... Alpha Sebastian, long time no see."
Sebastian looked at her from above. Her face wasn't clearly visible to him from the car but when she spoke, he realized it was her. He had forgotten that today was the day she was released from prison.
Flora had changed a lot.
Her long, carefully cared-for hair turned into short, dry, ear-length hair. Her face was pale, especially with old and new wounds.
Now she was completely different from her beautiful self-back then.
But there was no ounce of surprise on his face. It seemed like he had expected that unwelcomed change. After all, the jail was a very miserable place to be. Sebastian's eyes were colder than the snow and wind when he saw her, who was in such a mess.
"It's true that you've changed."
She froze, looked up, and the scene from two years back repeated. He pulled out a cigarette and lit it. The thick white smoke lingered around his handsome face, making him look even more attractive.
Flora was frozen as she didn't know what to say and what not. She didn't dare to move. Sebastian was just as determined and ruthless as he was two years ago.
She couldn't afford to provoke him.
"Alpha Sebastian, if there's nothing important. May I leave now?" "Leave?" He repeated the word in a mocking tone and picked her chin up with the tip of his umbrella. After a long pause he continued, “Flora, you should know that two years is too short a time to atone for your sins."
After listening to those sinister words, Flora shivered, not because of the weather, but because of fear.
The torture in prison was so unbearable that even the thought of it brought chills down her spine. When she was sent to prison, her family abandoned her. For two years, no one had visited her there. She knew it was Sebastian's orders. She was like an ant under his control, with no room to resist.
But now…
