Chapter 4

"Mate."

Cynthia heard this in the noisy crowd but quickly woke up. She didn't have a wolf, so she couldn't find her mate there.

She continued to look at the lycan in the cage.

The number of lycan was far less than that of werewolves. But lycan was stronger than werewolves. That was why werewolves dared not challenge lycan easily.

A long time ago, some werewolves resisted and attacked lycan, but were quickly defeated by lycan. After that, the lycan and the werewolves signed a peace treaty. The two clans ceased fighting.

Whether in the forest or the city, werewolves were afraid of lycan.

A lycan.

Cynthia's eyes lit up at once.

The lycan was leaning against the iron cage. His profile under the light was almost perfect. His strong, sexy muscles had an invisible temptation.

"Damn it! Cynthia, he is too charming." Marcus bumped Cynthia's shoulder.

Cynthia stared at the man in the cage calmly.

The man in the cage seemed to have noticed Cynthia among nearly a hundred werewolves. His eyes cast towards her and his thin lips moved slightly. He said in a small voice, "Help me!"

Cynthia received the signal. Expressionless, she said, "Give me a reason!"

The man's sexy thin lips moved slightly as he said, "When I go out, I will give you double pay."

A double pay?

Cynthia was interested. She thought it could subsidize the money for Ruby she bought today.

The person in charge, Mr. Serrano, began to propose, "Everyone, you've checked out the good. Are you interested?"

The werewolf buyers were very increased after seeing the lycan. The number of lycan was less than that of werewolves, let alone such a strong and handsome lycan.

Noticing that everyone was dumbfounded, Mr. Serrano continued, "Starting price is two hundred thousand dollars."

Two hundred thousand dollars?

The lycan in the cage was upset and complained, "I am not worth as much as a ruby?"

"Three hundred thousand dollars."

The sayer was Luna, a widow wearing a black veil, holding a card and blushing.

"Four hundred thousand dollars."

"Six hundred thousand dollars."

A hoarse voice came. Cynthia looked at the person and found it was an old Alpha.

She was speechless.

Did men also like men?

"One million dollars." Cynthia held up the placard and smiled charmingly.

Marcus raised his eyebrows and smiled, Thinking, "Cynthia is also interested in the good-looking man?"

"A million and a half dollars."

Mr. Serrano was shocked.

Oh my!

Cynthia and Marcus looked at each other and smiled. "A million and three hundred thousand dollars."

It was not that she was generous to buy this lycan, but that she could get double the price if buying this lycan.

The widow Luna Beth held up a placard, saying, "A million and four hundred thousand dollars." After she raised it, she felt regretful. She muttered angrily, "Damn. I shouldn't have gone on!"

Marcus couldn't bear it any longer. He leaned to Cynthia and whispered, "Cynthia, how much money do you have on your card?"

Cynthia looked down and said calmly, "No more than two million dollars."

Marcus looked embarrassed, asking, "Then what to do? If it exceeds two million dollars, you won't be able to take this lycan with you."

Cynthia sneered, "That widow, Luna, is lascivious. She wants to a man from me!"

"I fancy this lycan."

Marcus smiled, saying, "Got it."

Cynthia was about to raise her placard to say a million and six hundred thousand dollars when a loud male voice suddenly came.

Everyone was taken aback. Where did the voice come from?

Then a large group of lycan dressed in black broke in. They quickly subdued Mr. Serrano.

"What's going on?" Mr. Serrano asked first.

A group of strong lycan pried open the iron cage. Another lycan in black stepped forward and knelt in front of the cage, saying, "Your Highness, I am sorry that I didn't protect you well. Please punish me."

When the man in black said that, Mr. Serrano froze in fright.

Who was His Majesty?

He was the lycan king, Austin Norton, from New York's largest lycan family!

Known as the Dark King, he was only 25 years old and had billions of dollars in assets. His industries covered many fields and the branches were all over the world. He almost controlled the economic lifeline of the entire world.

He stood up, sneered and glanced leisurely at Mr. Serrano, "Mr. Serrano? Do I look good?"

Everyone looked at each other, not knowing the situation.

When Marcus was about to ask Cynthia, Cynthia put her slender fingers between her lips to signal him to keep quiet.

"It's a complete misunderstanding! We didn't know it was you. If we knew it was you, we wouldn't dare to do it! Besides, it's none of our business!"

He also bought him through someone else and then auctioned him off!

Austin laughed presumptuously with a chill in his voice.

"Send someone to check and find out from whom I was bought."

"Yes."

Cynthia knew the whole story after listening to their conversation. It was none of her business since someone had saved him.

Then, she stood up with a smile. She put on her sunglasses and pulled Marcus out.

Misty Castle

Austin changed into clean clothes after taking a shower. He listened to Beta and Jeremiah's report lazily and charmingly.

"King Austin, we have found it. It's Smoke Sea Pack did it."

The man held the phone. His eyes glowed bloodthirstily, "There's no need to keep them. Kill them all."

"Yes."

Jeremiah continued, "King Austin, the woman you asked me to check is the daughter of Alpha of the Green Moon Pack. But I am not sure whether she's the biological daughter just recognized or the adopted daughter."

"That's it?"

Jeremiah nodded, answering, "That's all I've found."

Austin stood up abruptly and lifted Jeremiah into the air. He stared at him, saying, "Continue to investigate. How dare you report uncertain information to me?"

Then he let him go. Jeremiah fell to the ground and got up again, saying, "Yes, Your Majesty."

After Jeremiah left, Austin went to the liquor cabinet and poured himself a glass of wine, thinking about what had happened today.

"I must be right. She is my mate."

"But I can't feel her wolf. Even my lycan says she's not my mate."

"It can't be. My feeling must be right. She is one of the two daughters of Alpha of the Green Moon Pack. I will find her identity when I go to see her."

Thinking about it, Austin drank the liquor in one gulp. Then he looked at the bustling New York night scene outside the window.

Monday morning at seven o'clock.

Cynthia went to the school to go through the admission procedures, held the syllabus and campus guide and followed a teacher slowly to the French classroom.

The French classroom

All the students were still immersed in the excitement of the holiday. The classroom was full of noise.

"By the way, do you know that a transfer student will be in our class this semester?"

For a moment, everyone's attention was caught.

"A newcomer in senior year? Is she here for the college entrance examination?"

"I heard that she is a rogue."

"What? Is the rogue coming to our school?"

The classroom suddenly fell into a discussion.

"I don't want to be in the same class as the rogue. She must be as ugly as the rogues my parents said. It's creepy to think about it."

Kelly had already entered the classroom and sat down in her seat at this time.

Hearing the discussion, she felt joy, waiting for Cynthia to make a fool of herself.

Cynthia was Alpha Joe's biological daughter. But now her classmates didn't know about it. Besides, whether it was appearance or good personality, she, Kelly, was incomparable.

Hence, she was not afraid.

When everyone was talking, footsteps came from the door.

The door opened slowl...
