Chapter 3 A Quiet Life

Sienna Sim's POV

"How dare you! How dare you tickle me?" He hid under the quilt and glared at me coldly, but there was no anger in his eyes.

I pinched his face gently. "Aaron Wolfe, don't always look so sullen. Children should be happy." Although this child had a high IQ, he was only a child after all. I didn't want him to be mature too early.

Aaron Wolfe pouted and ordered, "You're not allowed to leave. Watch me sleep!"

"Okay, I'll leave after you fall asleep."

Looking at the baby's sleeping face, tears welled up in my eyes again. I sniffed. It had been more than a month since my mother passed away, and I finally felt that I was living like a human being.

I was no longer like a walking dead.

That's great. In the future, nothing will matter as long as you're with me.

Life was very peaceful in the next half month. At first, Aaron Wolfe was picky and disgusted with me, but when he saw that I was not angry at all. After a few days of tossing and turning, he felt bored.

As for me, I enjoyed every moment of getting along with Aaron Wolfe. I observed his temper and character and accompanied him in his joys and sorrows. Maybe Aaron Wolfe felt my sincerity, so he began to rely on me more and more.

I laughed at myself. Perhaps it was because we were related by blood.

As for Caelestis Wolfe, although I met him every day, I deliberately avoided him, so we didn't have much contact.

It was much simpler than I had imagined, but I was very happy.

"Dad, are you taking me to the island?" I had just finished tidying up and was about to go to Aaron Wolfe's room to see if he was asleep. When I walked to the door, I heard his voice coming from inside. He was very excited. This child was only five years old. Maybe because he was too smart and looked like his cold father. Therefore, except in front of me and Ms. Zoe, it was rare to see him in such a high mood.

Caelestis Wolfe leaned over and patted his son on the shoulder. "Go to bed early and set off tomorrow morning." Then he got up. When he walked out of the door, he saw me standing by the door and ordered expressionlessly, "Pack up his things." After taking two steps, he paused and said, "You go with us so that you can take care of him."

"OK!" I was very happy. I didn't care what the purpose of this trip was, and I didn't care about my own purpose. Anyway, this was my first trip with my son, so I was excited.

As I watched the figure walk away, I couldn't help but jump in joy. Then, I turned around and entered my room.

"You said that it's by the sea. Then, should I bring you a swimsuit?"

"Do you also need to wear sunscreen?"

"Also, are you allergic to the seawater?"

"Do you know how to swim?"

"You..."

"Hey, Auntie, are you done yet? It's not like you're going on a vacation. Why are you so excited?" Aaron Wolfe interrupted me, who had been muttering to myself. He closed the comic book, then lay down and covered his head with a quilt. I asked him to call me Miss, but he insisted on calling me Auntie. I corrected him several times, and I just let him be.

"Aaron Wolfe, you'll be hypoxia if you keep doing this." As I spoke, the quilt had been completely pulled under his body.

He glared at me angrily. I pinched his face with a smile and said, "You're just a kid. Don't be angry every day or you'll be like your father when you grow up, be a poker face!"

At the door, Caelestis Wolfe saw that the door was open and was about to close it for him. When he heard this, his face darkened. "Is this what a nanny should say? A poker face?" He couldn't help raising his big hand and touching his cheek. His slender fingers tightened.

"Turn off the lights. I want to sleep."

"Can you talk to me for a while?"

"No more talking!"

"Stingy, I'll sleep now. Are you so stingy to others?"

"Who's the others?"

"For example..." I hesitated for a moment and decided to give it a try. "Vivian Golding?"

"Humph! Don't mention her to me! I'm going to sleep!"

"Okay, have a sleep! We have to travel tomorrow and get up early."

I went to bed and couldn't hide my joy. Aaron Wolfe didn't like Vivian Golding. I knew that I shouldn't be happy about this. If Vivian Golding was good to Aaron Wolfe and Aaron also liked her, he would get a happy family.

"However, I am selfish. Anyway, my selfishness cannot harm anyone...

Early the next morning, when I saw Vivian sitting in the car, I was stunned. It turned out that she was going on a "family trip". Should I go and be the third wheel?

Forget it. In the eyes of these people, my current identity is probably not a 'human'. Who cares? Thinking of this, I was relieved.

Bloody island. Although the name of the island sounded a little scary, I felt it was beautiful when I got there. It was an abandoned port and a primitive fishing building. After getting off the ship, not far away, there was still a long-standing cannon. I googled it last night. This was Cleveland, a newly developed tourist attraction, which had not been officially opened to the public yet.

"Are you tired?" Seeing that Vivian was rubbing her temples, Caelestis Wolfe asked gently.

This man was cold to everyone, but only when he faced this woman, he was so gentle. Was this love? My father used to be so gentle to my mother, but...

Meeting my gaze, Caelestis Wolfe turned around and looked into my eyes. The tenderness in his eyes was gone. Although he didn't show it, I could still feel his powerful aura. He was dignified without being angry. I couldn't help but tighten my body. "I'll take Aaron to the beach to play."

After that, I turned around and didn't dare to stay any longer.

"Auntie, aren't you really staying because of my dad?"

"Aaron Wolfe, I've said it hundreds of times. Don't ask anymore, okay? Besides, he's getting engaged to Vivian Golding. She's beautiful, gentle, and good to you. Even if I have feelings for your father, I can't do anything, can I?"

"Bitch... that Bitch... You think she's good?" Aaron Wolfe kicked the sand under his feet hard and muttered.

During this period of time, I had gotten used to his amazing words. I pursed my lips and said, "It's good that your father thinks she's good."

"Him? He is quite smart. Unfortunately, he was single-minded and wanted to pay a debt of gratitude. How could he possibly be able to tell if that person was good or bad?"

Pay a debt of gratitude? I frowned.
