Chapter 4 The Joint Property

Maggie's words stunned both Lance and Hedy.

After a long while, Lance looked at the test report in Maggie's hand. It stated that the matching was successful. Maggie had mentioned she took the test, and he thought she was joking. He didn't expect her to do that.

"Maggie…"

"Hush."

Maggie motioned for him to stop talking and went up to Hedy, blowing softly at the hair that Hedy left on Lance's shoulder to the latter's face. Hedy blinked in fright.

"I can give you my kidney." Maggie was so close that she could see the panic in Hedy's eyes. This is the sorrow of a home wrecker, who would never raise her head high in front of the wife.

"But I have a condition." Maggie seemed to be doing it on purpose, speaking every word slowly.

"Maggie, let's go out and talk." Lance came over and pulled Maggie back.

Maggie looked back at him and smiled gently. "Honey, the kidney is for her, and I need her agreement, so we have to talk in front of her."

After that, Maggie looked at Hedy again. "Miss Gould, do you want my kidney?"

Hedy swallowed hard and looked at Lance as if she was struggling with something.

In fact, Maggie knew why she hesitated, so she said directly, "Maybe Lance hasn't told you yet. His kidney doesn't match yours. You can't count on him to save you. Moreover, you can find a suitable kidney in such a short time."

If Lance could find the right kidney for Hedy, he wouldn't take the test. After all, men cared about their kidneys.

Hedy's face turned pale, and Lance pinched Maggie's arm again. "Are you stalking me?"

Maggie pouted her mouth and said, "Honey, you seem to have forgotten who owns this hospital."

This hospital was founded when Maggie's parents were alive. Although it was a private hospital, it was the best hospital in the country.

However, the best hospital left for Maggie by her parents could not save her life.

"Besides, if my husband wants to donate a kidney, I have to agree to it. After all, I use your kidney too, and it is our joint property," Maggie said and touched Lance's waist playfully.

A hint of embarrassment flashed across Lance's face, and Hedy lowered her head. Maggie wondered if she was embarrassed or sad.

"Miss Gould, take your time and think it over. If you need my kidney, I have a condition. You have to leave my husband." After Maggie spoke, Hedy raised her head, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Maggie, that's enough!" Lance growled.

"Lance, if you want her to live, listen to me."

Maggie looked at Hedy again and continued "You only need to leave him for a short time. Three months only. You can't call him or message him during the three months, let alone contact him. Let's pretend you don't exist in his world. After three months, I'll give my kidney to you as well as the title of Mrs. Muller."

Maggie's words shocked Lance and Hedy. Lance abruptly narrowed his eyes.

The whole city knew that Maggie cared about her identity as Mrs. Muller, but now she said she would give it away, which was more shocking than that she offered Hedy a kidney.

Maggie stood up straight and glanced at Lance, who was staring at her. She turned to leave, but Lance held her back.

"What did you say?"

Maggie looked at him and smiled gently again. "I say as long as she is obedient, we will divorce in three months. When the time comes, I will also give you the Rudolph family as a wedding gift for you!"
